Winter in the new world

Posted on Posted in Photo news

When Christopher Columbus crossed the Atlantic to find a new sailing route to Asia, he did not expect to discover another continent where snow reigns…

During the holidays, we visited families in remote region. During our stay, we took the opportunity to go out and take a walk. Obviously, I couldn’t out wihtout my camera so I could try to discover images that were hiding on my path!

Near the Petro-Canada gas station, I noticed the snow on the pump’s roof. There was a beautiful contrast between this bright white in the sun and the red of the roof. But, looking closer, I found that the cloudless blue sky added to the color scheme. Hmmm … It reminded me of the colors of France… My imagination went wild!

I told myself that I could simulate the flag of this country but obviously, the superposition did not correspond to the flag. Never mind, I took the picture and I cut it and rotated the image in the right direction.

Long live New France and its beautiful snow
