This summer, I gave myself a challenge: play with colors to 
practice my composition. I chose this exercise to be able to take the next step, which is to harmonize the colors (more then 2!).
Walking through the streets of Montreal, I chose a complementary colors target. That day, it was blue and orange, not too difficult given the endless road works in Montreal… In addition to these colors, this fence was interesting because of the vertical lines that almost fell into the rule of third!
While writing these lines, I conducted research for scholarly explanations 😉 Of course, Wikipedia comes top of the list in search engines; there is also this French site is worth reading despite complicated by the black background making it difficult to read: 2.8 personal page.
