Early this summer, the madness of PokemonGo fell in the province of Quebec. I also have my little game: walk the streets of Montreal and try to find small hidden gems here and there. It’s an interesting exercise and is similar to photos walks. You must keep an open mind while being attentive to the environment; observe the objects that surround us; look for details, colors, shapes, etc.
That day late in the afternoon, I was walking on the boulevard De Maisonneuve and I passed a bar where there was a terrace. Obviously, at this time of year it was not open (full-time at least). The chairs were stacked in a corner and they were tied together and padlocked.
The chairs made me think of check marks used in forms! Since this was a repetitive form, I decided that the photo would be black and white. Yes it is possible to put the camera in black and white capture mode, but still, I photographed it in color and made the turn BW in post treatment, just to keep me options!
