A photographer named Dorothea Lange once said that the camera is a tool to learn how to see without a camera! It is what happening when I walk around to find images and let myself be inspired by a detail. It can also be a story that unfolds in my head and a picture emerges from that.
One afternoon in March, I decided to take a walk in downtown St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and hunt for images. In the area of the old train station, now a tourist kiosk, I found this “object”. It intrigued me! I observed a bit and thought about how I could photograph it. I ended up finding an interesting framing and it is the image that resulted (after a post-processing in black and white!).
