This summer during my vacation, I opted to go for a ride in the area of Fort Lennox in St-Paul-de-l’Ile-aux-Noix. I knew that this sector is quite popular with boaters but I thought that mid-week, it might be less busy; not always easy to cross the path of multiple boats in a canoe…
Obviously, I had my camera! I also had a long focal length (70-200mm) that was mounted on my Canon APS-C housing, which has the advantage of “increasing” the length of it; I ended up with a multiplication factor of 1.6, which transformed my lens to a maximum of 320mm!
2nd advantage: I was in a canoe; a totally silent ride! I could thus approach animals without frightening them too much. On the other hand, despite this advantage, they were still fearsome.
