In the middle of June, I went out to take pictures with a friend. \u00a0I had research the place that I wanted to be different from what I was used to photograph. \u00a0The sky had that interesting mixt of sun and clouds; the wind was on the strong side. \u00a0I thought it would be a great occasion to photographs the water on long exposure to have it appear like a translucent film.<\/p>\n

I gave a rendezvous to my friend at a halfway point so we could then head to a marina in \"Sunset<\/a>Beauharnois, Quebec. \u00a0It’s a place where the sun sets at the end of land point (I used a Website called\u00a0http:\/\/www.suncalc.net<\/a>\u00a0which overlaps the trajectory of the sun over a Google Maps canvas). \u00a0It’s an invaluable tool for research. \u00a0Since it’s based on Google Maps, it has the basic functionality of street view.<\/p>\n

My friend had brought his daughter. \u00a0She had her little point and shoot camera. \u00a0He figured it would be a good time to show her the ropes ! \u00a0\"Friend<\/a>It was quite interesting to see the enchantment in her eyes in\u00a0looking at the sunset, snapping pictures and showing it on the back screen. \u00a0It’s an advantage that I would have like at that age: to photograph without the stress of the cost film development !\u00a0The comparison is quite amusing in thinking that I would play with a 110 format<\/a>\u00a0that hold in the palm of child’s hand whereas a similar size digital camera that holds a far greater amount of pictures !<\/p>\n

\"Friend<\/a>So we watched the sun go doing on the horizon while making pictures. \u00a0I think it was a great night for a sunset because the sky had a great texture of clouds. \u00a0We walk back and forth to compose pictures to try many elements (marina, sailboats, boats, etc.) until the official sunset at 8:30pm.<\/p>\n

I think it was an excellent night for photography and I’d like to say the wind was in my sails for a photo expedition !<\/p>\n
