This winter’s snow was still MIA at the end of the 2015 season. It meant that on December 12, ![\"Doomed](\"http:\/\/www.fromoven.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/1-Doomed-building-Web-1-300x200.jpg\")
the fields were still clear of the white bliss. Nature had nonetheless followed its course and herbs had taken their yellowish color. I thought this could be ideal as a look of loneliness and desertion. So I looked for a place that could reflect this and I remembered an abandoned building that I saw in the area of St-Jacques-le-minor.<\/p>\n
The weather was a little cloudy and it seemed promising for a colorful sunset. Not knowing how the land would be around this building, I decided to bring my work boots, just in case. I walked the muddy trail to reach the building and I began to make photos. One thing lead to an other while making my photo: I observed the scene and composed in different ways. I noticed the![\"Doomed](\"http:\/\/www.fromoven.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/1-Doomed-building-Web-2-300x199.jpg\")
tower and told myself that I had to find a way to make it interesting. I went around the building but the grasses and trees were blocking me a little. So I took the option of the field… Of course, given the period of the season, the snow was more liquid and… the fields were soaked.<\/p>\n
I positioned myself near the tower to fit in my ![\"Doomed](\"http:\/\/www.fromoven.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/1-Doomed-building-Web-4-300x200.jpg\")
viewfinder. It seemed quite interesting that way but I was still hungry for more. I wanted to have something “different”. I walked under the tower. It had vines that were rolled around the structure. But it was the checkered patterns that I found interesting. After a few minutes of positioning and a growing sore neck, I managed to frame the picture to my taste.<\/p>\n
Did I mention that the fields were “slightly” soaked\u2026 After long minutes of walking in them, I had the impression of walking with deep-sea diving boots: no less than 3 to 4 inches of mud was stuck under my soles! Back on the ground in front of the building, I started my cleaning job. My tripod had taken its tole of the sticky stuff. Needless to say that cleaning was quite rudimentary![\"Doomed](\"http:\/\/www.fromoven.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/1-Doomed-building-Web-3-300x300.jpg\")
and I continue the work at home. Luckily I had a plastic bag in the car to put my boots…<\/p>\n
