Studio shoot to the rescue

Despite the bad weather for photography, there are other opportunities to take photos. Fortunately, being in a photo club gives me the chance to fill the void and have fun. This is why the studio has come to the rescue! This month’s theme was “tools”. I had a pair of vise grips in my hands after opening my toolbox and I wondered how I could make the subject interesting. I’m a sucker for a quick gag and it only took a ClampFish few moments for my brain to have its usual twisted flash and come up with this image, the “ClampFish” … I had to go to the shed and retrieve a lure in my tackle box and make the assembly to take the picture. The difficulty was the lighting: avoid glare on the metal. I used many diffusers to soften the light as much as I could. Good fishing, I mean good viewing 🙂
