During the holidays, I brought my camera (obviously!). I took the opportunity to make some pictures here and there combining everything with our activities.
That day we went to visit a private dam not far from the town of La Sarre. The installation is relatively old but still in operation with some improvements. The facility provides electricity to Hydro-Québec for a certain period from fall to spring.
The road leading to the power station is like all dirt roads in Abitibi: you’ll find from time to time: waste/garbage bags and abandoned objects. This bus has been there for at least 25 years!
After visiting the power plant, I stopped at that bus. The hardest part was finding a way to get into the woods without getting too wet: it had rained a lot the prevous days.
I tried several angles and I found this one more interesting: the colors and the effect of the vanishing points of the interior of the vehicle.
While I was taking my photos, The Alice Cooper song came to mind: “School’s out for ever”…
