As a photographer, fate catches up. The “I should have” takes its full extent and the saying “the best camera is the one you have with you” echoes at full blast !
Last night this is what happened to me. I went to Bromont ski center to close the snowboard season and I decided to bring my big camera to photograph landscapes on my way. Once in the parking lot, I hesitated: do I bring my backpack or not? No coins in my pockets to flip an answer and nobody with me to try rock-paper-scissors: I left it in the car…
Error! When I realized the sunset would be wonderful from the top of the mountain, it was too late. Any photographer knows that in sunset photography, everything happens very quickly. I didn’t have time to ride down, head to the car and get in line for the chairlift. So I settled for the only camera I had in my pocket: a smart phone. Fortunately, I did not received a call on my “camera” while I was photographing the wonderful colors…
I should have… !
