It’s when the phone rang…

Inspiration comes from our subconscious and is defined in the Larousse dictionary as enthusiasm, creative breath that animates the writer, artist and researcher. Our brain talks us and you have to listen. This is why certain persons have a small notebook (or smart phone nowadays!!!) to jot down ideas that come to mind. Besides, have you noticed that it’s when you’re trying to remember a name, a place, or anything else that can’t recall? It’s when we no longer think about it that it comes back…

Well, it happened to me when I was strolling in the parc de la Cité in St-Hubert. I was walking around the lake and I climbed on the small hill where that bench park was. I was looking for Abandonedsomething interesting to photograph without really getting that spark telling me I had a picture to make. Previously, I had made a phone call to a friend and left a message. Once on the hill, he returned my call. I stayed in the area while walking and talking. I did not pay too much attention to the landscape but as I turned, inspiration hit me like a slap. Rest assured, I did have not have any sequel apart for picture 😉 I could see it, the little bench all alone and abandoned on the mound with the great streaks of clouds, a bit like an inverted triangle. It was magical! Once at home, I developed the black and white image to achieve this.
