My annual pilgrimage

Silhouette portrait

Silhouette portraitAlmost every year I take a few days off to back in the woods and recharge my batteries.  My friend has a camp on a lake, at the very end of a bay, in Abitibi (northern region of my province).  It’s a wonderful place for fishing.  But mostly, it’s a pilgrimage that allow me to disconnect from the daily stress, far from any cellular signals !   It’s also a reality check because you have to be organized: there is no water and no electricity.  It’s like the way our grand parents lived.

Even though the base for that expedition is fishing, it is not the main reason for me 🙂  The daily “schedule” is the same: no schedule, we eat when we’re hungry and we sleep when we’re tired.  I thrive for naps in the boat while being rocked by the water.   The other reasons, as you might have figured out, is photography.  Nothing beats the landscape and all available wildlife to photograph.

In the upcoming articles, I’ll display the wildlife and landscape that I have photographed.
