Commuting to work by bus has its advantages: peace of mind, some form of economy, avoiding traffic jams, etc. In short, happiness, except… when the weather conditions makes me wished I were in car to be able to stop where I want and make pictures!
That morning in August there was fog. I was already biting my fingers to see this but the situation “got worst”! The sun rose and added its colors to the show. I figured that as long as looking at the landscape, why not try some pictures (which I often do).
At that time, I had a lens EF 28mm f/1.8 which gave me the equivalent of a 45mm on my camera. Unfortunately, it was not a sharp lens (she has found another owner since!). I chose to expose for the colors of the sky while retaining a fairly low ISO (100), with full opening, which gave me a rather slow speed, 1/25. Just enough to keep the background sharp and have a blur in the foreground. At post-processing, I opened the shadows, improved the sharpness and cropped into a panorama.
