Autumn was long and beautiful. The warm days succeeded one another, leaving little room for the winter, which was late to arrive! The advantage was that it left plenty of time to take pictures during the weekend.
That Sunday morning at the end of September, I got up early to go on a photo quest. On Route 217 in the St-Bernard-de-Lacolle area, I drove by this field with the magnificent sun just peaking over the horizon of this soy field.
The golden light accentuated the yellow color of soybeans. I liked the effect of the rows that led the gaze away. What also caught my attention was these 2 isolated corn plants. I imagine they were grains from an earlier harvest that would have grown back.
What I found interesting was the fact that these two plants were side by side, like two people who’d stopped there to strike a conversation! I imagined that the subject would be: “Tell me, would you happen to know where the others went?” 😉
The picture was made with a long focal length with a small aperture: 100mm, f / 3.2
